Professional Healthcare Resources, a leader in Home Health, Hospice and Personal Care services in the Washington, DC and Baltimore, Maryland area, seeks a passionate and enthusiastic Clinical Educator to join our team in Annandale, VA.

Summary and Responsibilities: 
A clinical professional responsible for directing, planning, and coordinating effective educational activities of home health and hospice staff. Plans, coordinates, and delivers new hire training and orientation, continuing education, clinical in services and other training and education as necessary or determined by the agency to provide stimulating practice growth and expansion of skills, increased quality, and continuity and safe delivery of services. Maintains thorough knowledge of state, federal and local regulations, agency policies and procedures and accreditation requirements. 
 
 
1. Serves as primary educator of home health and hospice staff.
2. Maintains current information on clinical standards of care, accreditation and regulatory standards and changes within the home care industry to assist in presenting the most current educational information.
3. Identifies training and educational needs of all home health and hospice staff, and develops educational programs accordingly
4. Develops training strategies, including resource materials, using a variety of knowledge transfer methodologies, including self-guided instruction, on line training, classroom, webinars,multiple modality 5. Manages in-depth, structured, new employee clinical orientation program for home and hospice. Ensures that clinical new hire orientation is continuously updated so new staff are trained in current content and processes.
6. In conjunction with operations and clinical management staff, leads, organizes and facilitates the development and implementation of an annual clinical training schedule to meet the needs of regulatory/accreditation requirements.
7. Designs training modules and creates self-study guides for the organization’s field staff.
8. Identifies community resources as potential clinical educators. 9. Participates in company compliance programs, to include fraud and abuse, and HIPAA oversight.
10. Conducts evaluations to assess effectiveness of delivery and content of training/education/learning methodologies. Reviews data on a regular basis and conducts formal and informal needs assessments to determine future educational needs and requirements.
11. Effectively contributes to a superior employee experience by mentoring new field staff, leading the Education Committee and delivering consistently appropriate and effective training programs.
12. Collaborates with IT to develop and support distance learning, on-line learning and other technology applications to facilitate, encourage and support continuous learning for a distributed workforce.
13. Attends agency meetings as needed and makes presentations when requested.

Qualification Requirements:
Education and/or Experience: Must be a registered nurse, currently licensed in the state of agency operation; BSN preferred 

Must possess a minimum of five years nursing experience with three years additional experience in health education and instructional development, with demonstrated skill in development and delivery of successful adult learning programs.
Must possess a thorough knowledge of home health practices, procedures and professional standards of care in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Requires a thorough knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations as they pertain to the home care industry.
Must possess demonstrated excellence in administration and organizational leadership
Proficient with Microsoft suite of products, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to utilize computer equipment and software integral to agency operations.
